To Pay: secure your seat by calling our office and paying a deposit. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable to other tours. There will be a payment plan provided for the remainder of the costs. Deposit amount is $500.
Standard cost for this tour is $2680 PP TWIN / $3515 PP SINGLE but with a 15% Probian discount and the addition of flights or insurance a figure will be calculated to each individual.
Day 1. Hobart | Saturday · November 7th
You will arrive into Hobart today and we will be waiting your arrival at the Hobart Airport to transfer you to your overnight accommodation. This evening you will enjoy a welcome dinner at Charcoal Restaurant within the hotel, showcasing fresh local seasonal produce, a great opportunity to meet with your fellow travellers.

Day 2. Hobart | Saturday · November 8th
Enjoy a full breakfast at your accommodation and then meet the group at Brooke Street Pier by 10am for today’s departure. Cruise down the Derwent River to the beautiful Peppermint Bay Hotel. Overlooking the picturesque Bruny Island, the food is as good as the view, with a focus on fresh seasonal produce. Cruise through sheltered waterways with local experienced crew, arriving at Peppermint Bay Hotel for your set menu lunch. Returning back to Hobart approximately 3.30pm to have the rest of the afternoon to relax and enjoy a lazy Sunday in Hobart.

Day 3. Hobart – Strahan | Sunday · November 9th
Enjoy a full breakfast before checking out, and today we depart Hobart and make our way to the rugged West Coast of Tasmania. Stop at the halfway point between Hobart and Strahan at Derwent Bridge, a visit to The Wall in the Wilderness is certainly worth it to marvel at the handmade wood carved sculpture. Further along the road, you will arrive at Queenstown, the gateway to the West Coast with a rugged mining history, a unique “moonscape” and loads of wild west appeal. Arrive into Strahan and check in to your accommodation for the next 2 nights.

Day 4. Strahan | Monday · November 10th
A full breakfast will be provided at your accommodation and today you will experience one of the highlights of your tour with one of Tasmania’s best attractions, the Gordon River Cruise. Witness the magical reflections of the Gordon River, travel through Hell’s Gate, the harbour entrance to the great southern ocean, where you will arrive at Sarah Island and view some of Australia’s oldest convict ruins. You will be treated to a delicious buffet lunch whilst on board, today is a real treat you will certainly remember. Enjoy some free time after the cruise exploring the area, why not take a walk to Hogarth Falls, explore Ocean Beach or visit the quaint shops and the Huon Pine Sawmill.

Day 5. Launceston | Tuesday · November 11th
Enjoy another full breakfast prior to checking out. Today you will travel to Launceston with many delightful stops along the way including Sheffield, known as Tasmania’s Town of Murals. You will also travel along Tasmania’s Cradle to Coast Tasting Trail with stops at Ashgrove Cheese, onsite Ashgrove Cheese Factory and farm store. Another mouth watering stop will be at Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm, delicious home grown berries and amazing treats. Arrive into Launceston for the next 2 nights.

Day 6. Launceston | Wednesday · November 12th
Enjoy a full breakfast at your accommodation before heading to the exquisite Josef Chromy Winery and experience the Go Behind the Label Tour. Your 2.5 hour experience will include a guided vineyard and winery tour, you will taste some wines in their unfinished state before heading to the Cellar Door for a two course superb lunch of fine Tasmanian produce with
matching wines.

Day 7. Bicheno | Thursday · November 13th
After another full breakfast at your accommodation you will depart Launceston and travel to Tasmania’s stunning East Coast. You will visit Coles Bay, Freycinet Peninsula, home to the famous Wineglass Bay. Whilst here for those feeling energetic take the walk to the Wineglass Bay Lookout, the view is definitely worth the steep uphill walk (1.5 hours return). This evening you will spend the night at the delightful seaside town of Bicheno where you will enjoy a farewell dinner at Beachfront Bicheno. Enjoy your final night taking part in the Bicheno Penguin Tour – walking through the penguin’s natural environment, the protected private rookery allows you to view these remarkable birds up close and undisturbed.

Day 8. Hobart | Friday · November 14th
Enjoy breakfast prior to checking out of your accommodation. We will transfer you to Hobart Airport for your afternoon return flight home, making stops along the lovely East Coast as we drive you back to Hobart.

Cancellations: we can cancel a tour for any reason, we can provide a refund or credit to be used within 18 months.
Travel Insurance: we strongly recommend you obtain appropriate travel insurance at the time of paying your deposit for our multi-day tours. We can provide you with a quotation.
Itinerary changes: we reserve the right to alter or omit any part of the itinerary due to inclement weather or other circumstances restricting us.
Safety: Coal River Coaches reserves the right to decline to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of the tour, or who may require services that we cannot guarantee will be available, or if meals (due to certain dietary requirements) cannot be catered for.
